London’s Most Beautiful Pub – Churchill Arms
The Most Beautiful Pub In London – Churchill Arms
Built in 1750, this stunning pub is located in the prosperous borough of Kensington.
The pub has won the prestigious title of ‘London in Bloom’ 2 years running thanks to its abundance of blossoming hanging baskets. Its fair to say there are more flowers than pub!
The Churchill Arms also lays claim to the first Thai Restaurant in London. What was seen as a bit of a risk 25 years ago has started a trend in most boroughs.
It is not uncommon now to walk into a traditional watering hole to see Pad Thai on the menu rather than the shepherds pie and we Londoners welcome it! With family recipes that have been handed down through generations, and most mains being £8.50, its grown quiet a reputation for quality food whilst on a budget.
Inside the décor is equally eccentric with hanging plant pots, farming equipment and wartime memorabilia giving it a rustic edge. Winston Churchills Grandparents were regular visitors.
