Make Your Facebook Ads Work With The New Algorithm…
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, it’s been impossible not to see the panic over Facebook’s new algorithm.
“You can expect to see more from your friends, family and groups,” Zuck said in the announcement. “You’ll see less public content like posts from businesses, brands, and media.”
This will obviously affect your Facebook ads as Facebook will favour posts that have a high engagement level and that are meaningful.
So what can you do?
Create highly engaging posts that the new Facebook algorithms will LOVE! My clients also saw a drop in their Facebook ads but with a few changes, we are now back on track and here’s how!
Facebook Polls
Ok, so I admit I’m a big fan of polls after seeing a massive surge in engagement when we tested them out on Twitter.
But this time we created Facebook polls to increase our engagement yet still draw attention to our products. We also paid attention to any special days such as #nationalpopcornday and created fun content that received a lot of comments and engagement.
You can relate polls to a number of things.
- Parenting products – A poll on which baby stroller they like the best using your products!
- Virtual Assistant company – A poll on what they would most like to outsource and write back to any comments with your solutions!
- Shoe Company – A poll on shoes with one being a heel and another being flats and ask them what are they most likely to wearing on Friday night.
You get the idea, we want to make it as fun as possible and the more comments, the increase in your organic reach!
Engaging Content
Try to ask engaging questions that will give you more than a yes or no response. Once again we used a hashtag that was trending for the day #nationaltoastday.
You may wonder how on earth this could relate to your business but people primarily come to Facebook to talk to freinds& family, NOT to be sold too so if you make your content fun and engaging, it’s more likely to receive likes and then be seen by others!
Post Facebook Stories
We noticed how well our Instagram stories were doing so decided to really up our Facebook story game! Already we have noticed an increase in page views and page likes!
Go Live
Creating live short videos are a BRILLIANT way to increase views and increase your organic Facebook reach! Think about creating small live videos on topics such as;
- Behind the scenes
- Networking events
- New product launches
- Creating and designing products
- Manufacturing of products
- Cool things you see out and about, street art, amazing pics of breakfasts or lunch
The most important thing is to be real! Hard week? Tell people you’re looking forward to Friday, make yourself human, not just another brand that is trying to sell something!
Ok so here were some quick tips, any questions comment below and I will get back to you!
