Are You Offering A Certifiable Customer Experience?
When we look to new companies, most of us do so with some level of scepticism. Every business claims they’re ‘the best at what they do’ after all. They’re bound to say that; they want us to put profits back into their accounts. Often, though, companies mislead us and even make false claims to get us through their doors. We’ve all seen signs for ‘the best coffee in the city’ and other such fabrications. These are typical business methods, and most of us know by now not to trust in them.
As a business owner, you’d be best off steering clear of jumped up claims like these. Far from driving custom to your door, they’ll often turn people away. Instead, you want an alternative way to show customers that they can trust you’re the best. Luckily, you don’t need to fabricate evidence to achieve this. All you need to do is consider putting the following in plain view in both your shop space and website.
Industry-specific recognition
If you’re good at what you do, why not fight for industry recognition? The majority of fields offer certification for the best. In the world of food, for example, you have Michelin stars. Hospitality has similar rating systems to help the best stand above the rest. Even shop owners can aim for things like retailer of the year. And, if you believe in your coffee, the chances are that you really can prove it. Most times, options like these come complete with awards or certificates. These can let customers know all about it. You should display things like this in your shop window. Make sure, too, that they’re the first thing people see when they click on your website. Sometimes, something as simple as this can end up being the secret to getting noticed in the right ways.
Legal certification
Industry recognition aside, customers also need to know you’re operating within the law. Otherwise, how can they trust you? You should already be on top of legal requirements. Restaurant owners, for example, can’t open without a food hygiene certificate. Auto traders can’t do anything until they opt for trade insurance as offered by One Sure Insurance. Even shop owners need to get liability insurance before opening their doors. Luckily, each of these precautionary measures should again come complete with a certificate. By placing these next to your recognitions, you let customers know that they can expect the best when they come to you.
The customer seal of approval
The above aside, nothing has as much sway as the opinions of the customers you’ve done business with in the past. Hence why it’s also worth displaying customer reviews to anyone considering your company. This is easy enough to do online, as you can include a review box on your homepage. Even in your physical business space, a mounted review iPad could serve the same purpose. Just like that, you can ensure new customers approach you with a much more willing attitude than ever before.
