How To Triple Engagement With Twitter Polls

We recently started to run a few Twitter polls and were astounded by the results!

Usually, we get a quite a few likes or retweets in the day, but then even content that worked for you previously may not work the week after and that’s why we found the so useful!

So here are some quick tips on how to create a Twitter poll!

First of all, go to the trending topics of the day and try to find something that may work in your niche. We’re looking for trending topics as these are what are currently being talked about and can give you a much bigger reach, however you can simply create one without using a trending hashtag.

So in the above post, we can see that the Grammys is currently trending. Now the trick is to work this around your niche. So maybe you work in fashion or beauty and you can link this trending hashtag to your brand. A good example would be, ‘what’s your favourite brand of red lipstick, MAC, Rimmel etc.’

So remember to add;

  • Emojis – We all know imaged can double our engagement but in this case, we cannot use one so try using a couple of fun emojis to make your poll standout!
  • Remember to add the trending hashtag!
  • Also, add hashtags for the brands themselves and also other fan pages. It is likely fan pages will retweet your post and this could lead to much more engagement!
  • Make it fun! Topics on popular culture and T.V shows seem to do the best so use your wit to twist this to work for you and your brand!

Ok guys, this was just a quick post on how well polls have worked for us. Good luck and enjoy!

How To Create Facebook Ads Using Your Mailmunch Subscribers

I found this tool incredibly useful, especially as you can upload ANY CSV spreadsheet with contacts on, not just mailmunch!

The thing I love the most about this way is that’s it’s highly targeted to people that are warm leads and may just need that extra encouragement to purchase. Facebook describes this as ‘A Custom Audience from a customer list is a type of audience you can create made up of your existing customers.’

Ok so firstly, go in to your Facebook Ads manager.

Click on Ads manager and then click on more tools. We then go across and select where it says audience.

Now click on Create Audience, then CUSTOM AUDIENCE

Next select custom file

Now you have a few options. You can either just upload your form from mailmunch or add customers from your own file. I am going to upload customers from a previously saved CSV file.

Upload your file!

It will tell you when your new customer audience has been uploaded. You can also upload postcodes etc if you have that information.

If you scroll down slightly it will now give you the option to create a lookalike audience or create an ad. Here is the lookalike audience option. As you can see, my newly uploaded custom audience is already here, I just need to add which city ect.

OR I can just create an ad using my newly uploaded audience

So if I clicked on brand awareness, I can then see my newly uploaded audience is already in the ad, I just then need to add the extras!

Ok so hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions!

Perfecting Website Photography

Photography is a skills which you will want to try and learn if you are the owner of a small company and you have a website to advertise it. Sure, you can stick to using stick photos, however this can be a bad idea because it makes you look less professional than if you take your own.

If you look at way to design your website such as with Darren Langley Web Designer, you will see that many of the themes which perform well are the ones which have striking imagery, which is why you need to brush up on those photography skills.

1.Visit an Art Museum

Remember that photography is a form of art, it isn’t just a tool to get more views to your website. Take the time to visit a few art galleries and really see the way that photographers capture their subject matter. By doing this you will learn to appreciate the art of photography and you will be able to take these ideas away to use as inspiration for your own work.

2. Experiment With Perspective

A large part of photography is the perspective used in the images. Set up a basic photograph of an object such as a fruit bowl and start taking photos from different angles. This will allow you to start seeing from different perspectives and learning what effect taking the photo from the side has against from above. It is an important exercise and will get you used to looking for the best photography angle.

3. Visit The Zoo

The reason that a zoo is a great way to practice your photography is that there is no shortage of subject matter to work on. It will be a great exercise in shooting from a distance and trying to change your depth of field to focus on the subject in its enclosure. Taking photos of moving subject can make a huge difference to your skill and allow you to really start taking some incredible photographs.

4. Minimize Your Possibilities

It might seem strange to think that only taking. Few photos can make your photography better, but it is a fact. Rather than taking the largest memory card with you in order to get the most photos you can, take the smallest so that you are limited. This will mean that every photo you take needs to count, and it will, therefore, increase the quality of the photographs you take in the end. If you know you have a limit you will work harder to make each and every image count.

5.Take Your Camera Everywhere

One of the best ways to make sure that you never miss an opportunity for an amazing photograph is to take your camera with you wherever you go. It is often those times when we are simply minding our own business when a perfect opportunity will show up, so make sure you are prepared for that and take advantage. It means you will never miss a photograph and you can capture those special moments.
